The Regina Police Service has arrested two more individuals involved in Regina’s first murder of 2021, bringing the total number of people charged in this case to four.
20-year-old Bobby Edward Dawson Gray and 22-year-old Peyton Anthony Stevenson, both from Regina, face charges of second degree murder and attempted murder in relation to the homicide of 38-year-old Amber Dawn Wood of Bienfait, Sask.
Stevenson and Gray have also been charged with possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The other two individuals, 29-year-old Justin Englot and 25-year-old Jayden Sanford, were charged by police on Tuesday. The were in court on Tuesday morning with charges of accessory after the fact to murder and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
At approximately 8:10 a.m. Saturday morning, police and EMS were dispatched to a residence in the 700-block of Athol Street for a report of an injured female, believed to be the victim of a shooting. The seriously injured victim was taken to hospital by EMS and was pronounced deceased a short time later. Police secured the scene and requested the coroner as well as the additional resources of forensic identification and major crimes. Wood’s family has been notified of her death. The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, continues to investigate this death as a homicide.
