The lingering marital face-off between Rahma Indimi and Mohammed Babangida over the custody of their four kids may be over. Rahma now legally has custody of the kids. Ferdinand Ekechukwu reports
Mohammad Babangida had shortly after their marriage crises began in 2016, initiated custody battle to reunite his children and cut-off every trace of Rahma Indimi from their lives. Recall that the almost 14-year-old marriage between Mohammed and his first wife/mother of his four children, Rahama, had crashed irredeemably in 2016. Rahma is the daughter to Mohammed Indimi, a Maiduguri-based billionaire and oil magnate.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, on Thursday, opened up on the chances of Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, emerging as its presidential candidate in 2023.
Ex-Deputy National Publicity Secretary of APC, Yekini Nabena, said Tinubu’s chances are dependent on his alliances with party stakeholders from other zones in the country.
Speaking with DAILY POST, Nabena said: “I don’t know or tell how strong Tinubu’s chances are because politics is all about alliance.
“It depends on who he is aligning with and his alibi. A tree cannot make a forest, you can be strong in a particular state but what about others.

There is palpable tension in Kano as the local government election in the state, scheduled for Saturday, looms.
The Chairman, State Independent Electoral Commission KANSAIC, Professor Ibrahim Garba Sheka, had worried that elections in the state was like a war, with chaos and uncertainty trailing it.
It is on record that hundreds of Kano citizens lost their lives, following violent conducts of 2007 local government elections, during the Ibrahim Shekarau government, which eventually saw the ruling APP then winning all the 44 local governments of the state.
Sheka made the assertions at the opening of a one-day training for Civil Society Election Observers of 2021 Local Government Elections in the state yesterday.

The Kawankwasiyya faction of the Kano State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), belonging to a former governor in the state, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has dragged the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC), to court for alleged contempt just few days to the local government election.
The Kawankwasiyya faction of the PDP, which claimed it was recognised by the national headquarters of the party and the court, had insisted that it would not participate in the Saturday local government elections in the state.
However, the KANSIEC still announced that the Ambassador Aminu Wali faction of PDP was going to participate in the election.
Ahead of Saturday council election in Kano, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has sued Kano state Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) and Ambassador Aminu Wali faction of PDP for contempt of court.
PDP is demanding legal action against KASIEC for impersonating the authentic PDP and the use of PDP logo on the ballot.
Addressing Journalists on Wednesday in Kano, Chairman of PDP in Kano, Alh. Shehu Wada Sagagi explained that the internal crisis rocking PDP in the State was settled by the judgment of a vacation Judge, Justice Taiwo O. Taiwo of the Federal high court, Kano. x
Sagagi insisted that PDP has resolved to boycott the council as KANSIEC is however violating court verdict for admitting another candidates in the name of PDP.
