Consumers led by Susan Lenehan and Jodi Brust filed a class action complaint in the Western District of Washington on Monday against Amazon.com, Inc. claiming that it wiretapped their Amazon Alexa Devices, leading to violations of federal and state laws.
The complaint explained that an Alexa device, or its affiliated products, are designed to “record the user’s verbal communication” after a trigger word is used. The device then sends the information to Amazon’s servers “which interprets and processes the communication, receives the relevant information, and the Alexa Device responds accordingly to the user.”
In the ongoing offer, Amazon is offering a special bundle with Amazon Echo Dot along with a 9W Wipro smart LED bulb at Rs 2,499. With the Echo Dot, users can control the smart bulb by just giving voice commands to Alexa and can even create a routine to manage it. The Echo Dot comes pre-loaded with Alexa and can answer all your questions on music, news, trivia, scores, weather and more.
You can use
Echo Dot as a Bluetooth speaker by pairing your phone to it. Or you can connect it to other speakers/headphones through Bluetooth or 3.5mm jack. On the other hand, you can control your light from anywhere with the Wipro Next Smart App.
