The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 3.9 per cent provincially and 3.6 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on April 1, 2021, 59 new cases of the virus have been identified. However, seven cases have been removed due to a data correction. This brings the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 34,174.
Public health officials advise that two additional deaths in people with COVID-19 are being reported today:
a female in her 40s from the Northern health region; and
a female in her 40s from the Southern Health-Santé Sud health region.

Public health officials announced 59 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday along with two new deaths.
More than half of the new cases 32 were identified in Winnipeg, while Northern Health had 16 more infections. Prairie Mountain recorded seven, with three more found in Southern Health and one additional case in Interlake-Eastern.

The province’s total caseload since the beginning of the pandemic rests at 34,174. Manitoba has 1,179 active cases along with 32,058 people who have recovered.
