The Nevada Democratic caucus is over, and Hillary Clinton has been declared the winner. So how was saturdays voter turnout . Ryan canaday has been following the caucus action and joins us now live in the studio. Ryan what did you find out . Jen experts we spoke to said there were really no surprises saturday both in terms of hillarys victory and voter turnout. Now although we did report yesterday that a few locations did have a lot of people show up to caucus. As expected. The state wide numbers were still very low. Caucus although the Washoe County turnout was better than clark county. Nevada still had a very low caucus Participation Rate compared to states like iowa and New Hampshire. With nevada attracting less than 12 percent of voters on the democratic thats the problem with the caucus state and maybe the problem with the west where were much more jaded about politics

It was a hectic day at the local caucus sites. Erin breen visited multiple sites across the Biggest Little city to talk to voters the excitement of todays caucus. And some long lines to get inside. And when i say lines. I mean serious lines. Lines that crowded the hallways. Wound around corners and led right out the door. Lines that wore on those waiting in them. Norma i thought it was a little disorganized and there was to use of automatic counting and technology that i think should have beeen employed. David mandel the registration was slow they were all volunteers and they clearly could have had more training and practice i think. You go this way. You go that way. The caucus we were following was too big for the first room. So we moved. Do we bring our chairs . The second room didnt work out either. So we moved to the cafeteria. Went smoothly.
