A Texas lawmaker wants to promote “patriotic education” across the state.
So Rep. Tan Parker (R-Flower Mound) filed legislation Monday that would establish the 1836 Project, a committee “to promote patriotic education and increase awareness of the Texas values that continue to stimulate boundless prosperity across this state.”

Bridgerton is based on Julia Quinn’s novels set in 1813 in the competitive world of high society balls where women are presented for marriage. It’s the show’s sex scenes that are getting everyone hot and bothered. Regé-Jean Page as Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, and Jonathan Bailey as Viscount Bridgerton are saucy drawcards ensuring binge watching is a given. But what’s there to do once you’ve watched all eight episodes? Why not try to bring some Bridgerton into the bedroom?

âBridgertonâ also goes there when it comes to sex – which, of course, was part of everyday life in Regency England.
âI was obsessed with the 1995 BBC âPride & Prejudice.â Obviously Colin Firth coming out of that lake with the white shirt is seared in my mind,â says creator and showrunner Chris Van Dusen, a veteran of the Shondaland series âScandal,â not exactly known for its restraint. âBut I wanted to see a period
