The nonprofit Historic Ocala Preservation Society is selling a piece of Ocala history.
A vacant lot at 206 NE Sanchez Ave., in the heart of the Tuscawilla Park Historic District, was donated in September to HOPS by the city following a foreclosure. It is now on the market.
The property is being sold with proceeds benefiting HOPS preservation and research projects. The asking price is $25,000.
Located on the northwest corner of Northeast Second Street and Northeast Sanchez Avenue, the parcel measures 0.22 acres, according to county records.
The lot is zoned for a single-family house and architecture must be approved by the Ocala Historic Preservation Advisory Board, according to the city.
