Judaism Your Way now offering virtual and in person programs preparing Jewish youth for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs DENVER – Judaism Your Way opened registration on May 25th for the 13th year of its Open Tent Be Mitzvah program, an innovative two-year coming-of-age experience for students entering grades 6 through 8. The Open Tent Be Mitzvah program is based on the organization’s maximally-inclusive mission to be an open tent, welcoming everyone seeking a connection to Jewish life.  In 90-minute classes over eight months, Open Tent Be Mitzvah students learn about themselves as human beings and explore how they want to live as Jewish adults taking on more responsibility for themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. The program includes unique teaching methods, such as cooking classes, art projects, hiking lectures, and more.

Local News Briefs: Parade route for Coshocton High School prom Staff Report COSHOCTON - The Coshocton High School s prom will be Saturday. Parade lineup starts at 7 p.m. at the high school and will leave at 7:30 p.m. for Stewart Field. The prom will be from 8 to 10 p.m. at the stadium. Events will be moved to the high school gymnasium and the parade canceled for inclement weather. The queen and king will be crowned at 9:30 p.m. The Class of 2020 is being invited back as their prom was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Parents and guests will not be permitted at Stewart Field or the high school, but are encouraged to line the parade route of Cambridge Road and Main Street.
