A new report links 750thousand dollars in political contributions from the lead paint industry to the Political Group Wisconsin Club for growth. That group that helped the republicans during the recall elections both before and after those donationsrepublicans pushed through legislation that helped to protect lead paint manufacturers from lawsuits. Lawsuits. Victor harding 02;16;44 its unconscionable. Its dirty politics at its worst. And it taste bads, it looks bad, it smells bad and looks that its a pay for play situation now in wisconsin which weve never had. Victor harding is an attorney representing a milwaukee teen suing after she suffered lead poisoning at age 2. That suit, filed in 2006, is still working its way through the courts because of a law passed in 2013 that retroactively blocked lawsuits against lead paint makers. A major change . Rejected . Tonight on the way 911 dispatch is handled in Waukesha County. The city was looking at merging its dispatch with the county. As cbs 58s evan kruegel reports. It would save the city millions of dollars. But would require the county to hire dozens of positions. nat its another busy day inside the Waukesha County Communications Center which fields nearly 500 emergency calls every day. A proposal making its way through the city would have made that the city of waukesha to the facility 06 46 the idea is, can we save money and improve services by combining our city dispatch with county dispatch . At a Common Council meeting alderman were presented with a new study weighing the pros and cons of a merger. That study says the switch would save the city about 600thousanddollars a year by reducing city staff. Those savings however would be placed on the county which would have to hire 21 new dispatchers to field the increase in calls. 11 52from my perspective the staff

Chance in weeks people to hang out late here at sherman park. But for the most part they didnt. There were a few kids over by the swings there, but as you can see its pretty empty. And its been that way since about 8 tonight. But earlier it was a different story. People bbqing and having a good time enjoying labor day at sherman park. This weekend county executive reopened the park ordering deputies to remove the orange fencing. Border has been there ever since the unrest happened here where businesses were burned ti the ground. But after abele opened it sheriff david clark ordered the fence to be put back up, and the park to close at the emergency chrfew time he set weeks ago 6 oclock. This political battle went back and firth because both of them have power over park hours. That is until the issue went to court and a judge decided the park would time of 10pm.
