A review by a forensic expert says the deadly shooting of a 14-year-old Jacksonville girl by her mother was accidental.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The defense for a Jacksonville mother charged in the shooting death of her 14-year-old daughter filed new court documents this week suggesting the teen’s killing was the result of a ricocheting bullet.
A forensic report commissioned by Amanda Guthrie’s attorney concluded the range and trajectory of the gunshot wound that killed Guthrie’s daughter Avya indicate the bullet caromed off another surface beforehand.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A tragedy in Arlington: The father of a 14-year-old girl shot and killed wants answers, more than two months after her death.
Ayva Guthrie was a freshman at Sandalwood High School and a rising star on the basketball team. She had just become a big sister three weeks before her death. Ayva was small, but her personality was large.
“She was playing basketball, so we’re pushing for an academic and athletic scholarship, which would be great for her, for her future,” Aaron Begier, her father, told News4Jax. “I wanted everything for her. I wanted her to get married, have kids, have a good job.”

POCAHONTAS, Ark. (KAIT) - The investigation into so-called âfunny moneyâ has two Randolph County residents facing serious charges, according to Pocahontas police.
Amanda Guthrie and Dustin Stephenson, both of Pocahontas, were arrested Feb. 23 after Pocahontas police served a search warrant at a residence.
