Sgt. Christopher Tyler, a West Hartford police officer and father of two who has been battling brain cancer for more than five years, has Monday. The community and friends raised more than $40,000 in a GoFundMe campaign over the years, and Mayor Shari Cantor described Tyler as police announced Tuesday afternoon.
