Our ReporterDimapur, Sep. 14 (EMN): Risings People’s Party (RPP) has written to the State Crime Police Station to investigate into the alleged extortion by Rural Development (RD) department with regard to PMAY-G scheme in the state. A RPP letter undersigned by its generally secretary, Amai Chingkhu, and the secretary, Akum Longkumer, addressed to the Officer in Charge of State Crime Police Station, PHQ, on September 13, claimed that it has received complaints from over the state pertaining to the PMAY-G scheme and subsequent threats to the beneficiary villagers. The letter, which was posted on face book page called “Rising People’s Party,” RPP stated that they have received complaints that the “RD department is harassing the poor beneficiates at the behest of NDPP-BJP coalition.” It has termed as a serious issue which cannot be ignored by the Crime Branch.
