AMAGANSETT, NY A mother pushing her two children in a stroller in Amagansett Wednesday morning was struck by a driver who sped away, police said.
The mother was identified as Yuris Murillo Cruz, 36, of Amagansett. Her children, ages 1 and 4, were airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital. Police said their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police said the driver, Mark A. Corrado Jr., 28, of West Babylon, was arrested. He was driving a 1997 Dodge pickup truck at 11:42 a.m. when he crashed into Cruz on the eastbound shoulder of the Montauk Highway east of the Old Montauk Highway.
