Firefighters say high winds plus the steep hillside are making this fire tough to fight and talk about bad timing with that game getting out, chp shut down the eastbound lanes of the bay bridge to give firefighters more space to work. Just look at the backup into the city. With the highway looking like a parking lot. Cal trans says the backup lasts for five miles. Looking live out at our exploratorium camera. Firefighting boats have been spraying water on the fire for about an hour now, and it does look like the smoke is dying down.
