PROVIDENCE â Only a portion of Rhode Islandâs population has received sign-up links to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, and the state is telling them to stop sharing it.
In a late Facebook post Tuesday night, the Rhode Island Department of Health said some residents who are eligible to receive their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine have started sharing their sign-up links to book appointments.

PROVIDENCE â Governor Gina M. Raimondo had been expected to receive the COVID-19 vaccine during the state vaccine programâs second phase, which might not begin until April. But, as President Joe Bidenâs nominee for commerce secretary, she was able to get the first dose of vaccine on Tuesday, âas part of a federal effort to vaccinate Cabinet nominees and those in the presidential line of succession,â her office announced.
