Correa started noticing a difference after federal guidance changed, when the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced
fully vaccinated individuals don t need masks indoors or outdoors in most settings.
But the Palm Springs shop, which sells books, home decor and gifts, is still following state guidelines. California won t fall in line with the CDC until June 15. Until then, vaccinated and unvaccinated residents have to wear masks in most indoor settings. Some people came in here saying, Well, the store up the road said I don t have to wear a mask, Correa said Monday afternoon. We re always wearing masks in here, and we re following the state guidelines.
