Joshua Munzon is looking to build on the progress gained during the first training bubble of Gilas Pilipinas 3×3 for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament slated later this month in Graz, Austria.
“I just think we just continue to build on what we have been working on, the chemistry and just be better,” Munzon said ahead of Gilas 3×3’s return to the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna this week.
Munzon, CJ Perez, Mo Tautuaa, Santi Santillan and Karl Dehesa spent eight days at the training facility to kick off its buildup for the May 26 to 30 competition.

With less than two weeks before they leave for Graz, Austria for the FIBA 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT), the Gilas Pilipinas 3×3 national team has made progress with its preparation for the said event.
Despite the delay in preparation because of the community quarantine the government implemented in the NCR Plus, the Nationals doubled the effort to get to where they are now.
Gilas Pilipinas 3×3 head coach Ronnie Magsanoc said he is very pleased with the commitment of the players after more than a week of training camp bubble in Calamba, Laguna.
The 3×3 pool composed of PBA players Moala Tautuaa and CJ Perez of San Miguel, rookies Joshua Munzon of Terrafirma and Leonard Santillan of Rain or Shine, and ex-pro Karl Dehesa were all present before Magsanoc gave the players a break to work on their respective documents necessary for Austria.

THE Gilas Pilipinas 3×3 men’s team temporarily broke camp at the weekend to work on the documents needed for its participation in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) but it is out to finish its training strong when it resumes this week.
Set to see action in the 3×3 OQT in Austria later this month, the national team, composed of the country’s top 3-on-3 players and Philippine Basketball Association stars, spent eight straight days in its training “bubble” at the INSPIRE Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna, before taking a break.
It treks back to camp in the middle of this week to wrap up its preparation before flying to the tournament in Graz where it goes for one of the three Olympic tickets up for grabs.
The Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 squad vying for a Tokyo Olympics slot later this month is glad to have finally set its preparation in motion after a long respite due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

GILAS Pilipinas 3×3 team’s busy journey to the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) has begun after it entered its training “bubble” at the weekend at the INSPIRE Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna.
For at least eight days, the three-a-side national team, composed of the country’s top players in the sport and Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) stalwarts, will try to work on their collective game for their OQT campaign happening from May 26 to 30 in Graz, Austria.
