Kirkland using over 12,000 gallons a day. 48 times the district average. Thats obviously careless. The water was everywhere, bubbling up from the middle of the once busy intersection. Creating a lake. It is a lot of water. It makes me, oh my god, so much water coming. It is very scary. Where the water was coming from remains a mystery. It began when a sinkhole about 10 by 12 feet wide developed abou 2 00 p. M. On wednesday. No one could say how deep the hole was. The intersection was quickly closed to traffic. Hours later the water began filling the sinkhole and over flowing down the street. A section of interstate 5. The mud is now reported to be about 5 feet deep in some spots between castaic and the grapevine and the freeway is closed in both directions.
