The New York Giants selected Riverside-Durham alumnus Jordan Riley with the 243rd overall selection in the 2023 NFL Draft. Riley had a long college journey. He enrolled at the University of North Carolina as a 3-star prospect in 2017 and played as a true freshman in five games.
Garner High School football and basketball alum Keion White has been drafted into the NFL by the New England Patriots. The Patriots selected White with the 46th selection in Friday's second round. White was one of 17 players invited to the ceremony in Kansas City.
