Mixed martial arts brand Wimp 2 Warrior lands $7.5 million to digitise its gym program Simon Thomsen - July 4, 2021 2 MIN READ Photo: AdobeStock Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) program Wimp 2 Warrior has raised $7.5 million to go digital. The raise was backed by the News Corp Scaleup Media Fund, Mark Bouris, the Smorgon family’s Sandbar Investments, Altor Capital, Shaw & Partners, and Lucerne Investment Partners. The venture last raised $2 million two years ago from ex-MLC CEO Geoff Lloyd, former Foxtel boss Richard Freudenstein, Village Roadshow’s Graham Burke, and Origin Energy CEO Frank Calabria.
