After almost a month of break, Gilas Pilipinas will resume its practice session inside a bubble training camp in preparation for the third window of the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers this June in Pampanga.
The national team halted its training camp after the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) called on the athletes to stop all training as the government implemented the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Metro Manila and nearby provinces late last month.
Upon the approval of Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) president Al Panlilio, Gilas will re-enter the bubble at the Inspire Sports Academy Monday, April 26, in Calamba, Laguna.

Eric Menk is making an inquiry, looking like he’s offering himself for the position shortly after the flagship franchise of the MVP group announced Reyes’ comeback on Saturday.

Garcia said he welcomes the opportunity to serve the national colors again after acting as Yeng Guiao’s lead deputy during the qualifiers and the FIBA World Cup proper in 2019.
“I’m happy na isinama ako because I get to learn new system under (project director) coach Tab (Baldwin) when we know he’s one of the best coaches internationally. So that’s added knowledge,” said the current head coach of Rain or Shine.
“I’m there to help them (Gilas) also and give them my thoughts.”
