A New Kensington landlord accused of strangling and slapping a woman during a dispute over when she would move out has been ordered to stand trial. Terrance Joel Martin Jr., 57, of the 300 block of Altermoor Drive in Harrison was charged with a felony strangulation and a count of
Harrison is seeking bids from contractors interested in milling and resurfacing 15 roads in the township.
The township estimates that its 2021 road program will cost about $430,000. Sealed bids are due by 4 p.m. April 22.
The most expensive work is expected to be on Federal Street, at about $72,000. The township is requiring that milling and paving on Federal Street must be done on a Saturday.
Milling and resurfacing all of Pennsylvania Avenue is expected to cost almost $60,000.
Other roads included in the program, with the estimated cost of the improvements, are:
• High Street from Painter Avenue to Jefferson Avenue, about $15,000.
• Two portions of Altermoor Drive, totaling about $55,600.
