The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested three individuals, including two Pakistani nationals, at the Sonauli border between Nepal and India. The arrests were made based on information suggesting their intent to carry out terrorist activities in India. One of the arrested individuals, Altaf Bhat, a Kashmiri, had received training from Hizbul Mujahideen in Pakistan. The ATS stated that the ISI, along with Hizbul Mujahideen, aimed to recruit Indians to spread terrorism in India, highlighting ongoing security challenges in the region.
