Alstom, smart resolutions provider in the UK rail market, has renewed and expanded its contract for a further three years with supply chain service provider, Wincanton.
Under the new contract, Wincanton will extend the breadth of services which it offers Alstom, through the creation of a logistics facility designed to meet Alstom’s future service needs. Wincanton will provide warehouse services for the refurbishment of Alstom’s high-speed passenger train fleet – Class 390 Pendolino.
Wincanton will support the refurbishment through the establishment of a 71,000 sq ft warehouse facility in Haydock, near Liverpool.
Alstom and Wincanton have worked in partnership since 2018, with Wincanton providing a service to manage and control the flow of materials for the maintenance and refurbishment of Alstom passenger trains in the UK.
