Seventy hams, yams and, whatever I can get, he said.
Bifulco is collecting food for people who might not have much for Easter dinner. For the fifth year he is packing vegetables, potatoes, corn bread, cereal, macaroni and cheese and several other food times in cardboard boxes.
He organized his New Leaf program several years ago to distribute food at Thanksgiving and Easter and sometimes Christmas.
This year he is preparing 70 food boxes for families and 140 Easter baskets with candy for children.
But right now there is a hole in the menu, he said Saturday: Those 70 hams. I have to go to church on Monday and pray real hard. They will come, he will provide, he said, pointing a finger to the sky.
