When Hippodrome 3R opens for the 2023 harness racing season in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec on Sunday, April 30, defending leading trainer Sylvain Tremblay says his stable is ready for another good season.
On Saturday (April 8) evening in Trois-Rivieres, Guy Lafontaine and Sophie Mongeon held a gala that brought together 160 people at the Hippodrome 3R Racetrack to crown the champions of the 2022 season.
Despite earlier thunderstorms that left the racetrack "sloppy" with a two-second allowance, the young trotters competing in the third and final leg of the Future Stars Series at the Hippodrome 3R plowed forward.
At the Hippodrome 3R on Sunday, Windsun Cheyenne is a standout veteran pacer moving up in class to the Preferred 3 ranks for owner-trainer Gina Bragagnolo of Lavaltrie (June 11).
