ALPENA – A countywide cleanup will be held today from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alpena County Fairgrounds, 625 S. 11th Ave.
Alpena Resource Recovery Facility is hosting this event, which is free to county residents and to businesses who have a recycling permit. Recycling permits for businesses range from $100 to $300.
Your vehicle must be in line by 1 p.m. to ensure service.
If you have a small load in a car or pickup truck, you are asked to drop off between 8 and 11 a.m. If you have a large load with a trailer, you are asked to drop off between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. If large loads come earlier than 11 a.m., they will be asked to wait while smaller vehicles are unloaded.
