The Girl Scout Ambassadors of troop #1218 in Alpena selected artwork for a series of murals for the Alpena County Animal Control Shelter, on Saturday. Area school kids submitted the artwork for consideration. Work on the mural is expected to start early this summer.
ALPENA–Over the last several years, murals have popped up all over Alpena, and another painting project is in the works.
This summer, the Alpena County Animal Control Shelter is going to get a makeover, as students from around the area submitted drawings and painting ideas for the murals.
