The police on Tuesday afternoon said it had arrested five suspects in connection with the attack on Orji Divisional Police Headquarters in Owerri, the state capital.
The Police spokesperson in the state, Bala Elkana, told our correspondent that security operatives repelled the hoodlums.
He gave the names of the suspects as Chigaemezu Sabastine, 26, Casmir Ibe 36, John Chinonso, 24, Chukwudi Okoro 28, and Alozie Daberechi, 25.
Elkana disclosed that no security operative lost his life and that no riffle was lost to the hoodlums.
According to him, three vehicles were recovered.
