India Business News: KOLKATA: FMCG major Emami, one of the leading personal care and healthcare companies in India, is foraying into the fruit juice category through 6% st.
Axiom Ayurveda has a manufacturing facility in Ambala, Haryana, and is setting up a new state-of-the-art facility in Jammu at a cost Rs 160 crore. AloFrut has a strong market presence across general trade, government institutions, modern trade, and e-commerce platforms.
In a stock market notification on Thursday, Emami said this investment is in line with its strategy to invest in the health and wellness segment and will also help the company enter into the juice segment. Emami has acquired the stake in Axiom and its associates.
Emami: Axiom has a range of carbonated beverages that include mocktails and energy drinks. It is also present in the Ayurvedic healthcare juice segment under the Jeevan Ras brand. Sharing about its own manufacturing facility in Ambala, Haryana, the firm said it is also setting up a fully automated new facility in Jammu (Kathua) at a total cost of Rs 160 crore.
