Workshop on ‘Edhi’ on his death anniversary

SUKKUR: The Pakistan Red Crescent Society, Shikarpur, has marked the 5th death anniversary of Abdul Sattar Edhi, a world renowned philanthropist, and organised a workshop to pay tributes to him.
Reports said the speakers paid great tribute to Edhi, saying Abdul Sattar Edhi, who was born on February 28, 1928, in India, had dedicated his entire life for humanitarian work for the welfare of the people of Pakistan as well as the world. They said he established the world’s largest volunteer ambulance network, along with various shelter homes, animal shelters, rehabilitation centers, and orphanages across the country. He died on July 8, 2016 in Karachi and left his wife Bilqees Edhi along with four children Faisal Edhi, Kubra Edhi, Kutub Edhi and Almas Edhi behind.
