The âquietâ leadership; the âquietâ power behind the throne. Of course, this refers to Prince Phillip. And here we were, thinking that it was Queen Elizabeth who was running this show for the past 69 years.
Please give Prince Phillip his due, but no need to hyperbolize that he was somehow the strength or power behind the monarchy.  Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom and  Commonwealth for almost 70 years, is her own strength and power/ Prince Phillip fulfilled his role, as was his duty.
