Joseph Gordon-Levitt is heading to Showtime for his next starring role.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt has officially joined the cast of a brand new anthology series coming down the pipeline at Showtime.
Hailing from the creators of
Billions, the new anthology series is titled
Super Pumped, and is set to center each season on a different story that made major waves in the world of business, eventually going on to shape the culture.
Season 1 of the forthcoming anthology series will focus on former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick and the ride share app’s rise out in Silicon Valley.
Showtime books an Uber drama
Showtime has ordered an anthology series exploring disruptive businesses, kicking off with an instalment focusing on the rise of Uber starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Super Pumped, based on Mike Isaac’s bestselling book Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber, will tell the story of one of Silicon Valley’s most successful and disruptive tech companies.
Gordon-Levitt (The Trial of the Chicago 7) is on board to play Travis Kalanick, the former Uber CEO who was ultimately ousted in a boardroom coup.
The US premium cablenet said the show will depict the rollercoaster ride of the start-up transportation company, embodying the highs and lows of Silicon Valley.

Washington [US], May 25 (ANI): Hollywood actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is set to star as CEO of Uber in an anthology series by Showtime, the first season of which will tackle the rise of the ride-sharing app.
According to Variety, the series, titled Super Pumped , was first announced as being in development in 2019, though it was not planned as an anthology at the time. Each season will now explore a story that rocked the business world to its core and changed the culture.
Season 1 will be based on Mike Isaac s book Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber . Gordon-Levitt will star as Travis Kalanick, Uber s first CEO and co-founder, who was ultimately ousted in a boardroom coup.
