Polls are open now and the closest thing we have to super tuesday in this Election Year and control of the u. S. Senate is really whats on the line in 2014. It will be defined by the battle for the senate. Given the national environment, republican prospects of regaining control are pretty bright but there are two potential speed bumps and both states that have primaries today, georgia and kentucky. In kentucky, Mitch Mcconnell has waged a Ruthless Campaign to undermine challenger matt bevins credibility. In georgia, its the establishment candidates who are leading a crowd of republican hopefuls in the fight to take on democratic likely democratic nominee michelle nunn. Unlike 2010 and 2012, it appears the establishment has the upper hand this year. Nowhere is that more apparent than in kentucky, where senator mcconnell appears poised to hold

He is a hall of famer. So lets get more on this story, this developing story from ed laugh endra. Ed, tell me more about the lawsuit. Hello, brooke. Its an extensive lawsuit. About 85 pages long. Ive had a chance to go through all of it here this afternoon. And it is filed on behalf of eight players. Three of those players were part of that 1985 super bowl Chicago Bears team, richard dent, jim mcmann being two of those. Weve heard over the years a lot of different crazy stories that the lengths the Football Players would go to to stay on the football field. But this lawsuit is accusing the nfl and doctors of working together to ensure that in some cases, recklessly, and in some cases illegally, were prescribing pain medications to keep these players and these lawyers for these players sayin

Dire warnings that mcconnell was fighting for his political life but today if talk of the mcconnell challenge that wasnt. The five dark term senator is poised to dispatch beavan his most serious challenger in 30 years and do so with relative ease. A testament to the navigational skills of one of dcs most political operative. Hes not comfort but he pretends every six years. People will turn out who are weary of the Mitch Mcconnell of 30 years. Theres a mcconnell fatigue natural be thrown off i believe, in this race and time will tell. Beavans bevins charges never stug. He wore his decades in congress as a badge of honor. Its a new fac
