He was passionate about his team and loved the game of soccer.
But when the Fall River Diocese announced the closure of the Taunton high school in April of 2020, the longtime Warriors head coach turned his attention to a new adventure, as co-owner of a new-upscale casual family restaurant called the Riverhouse.
“If anyone told me I would go from coaching soccer at a high school to owning an upscale restaurant, it is quite a change, even for me,” Hutchison said.
In over 400 games, Hutchison collected 211 victories and had 59 ties.
He was a two-time
Taunton Daily Gazette All-Scholastic Coach of the Year, an Eastern Athletic Conference champion in 1996 and helped his team reach 12 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament berths.
