One is completion of phase one of the Southside Community Park, which is slated to be done in the spring.
The 53-acre park off of Oldtown Valley Road will have a fenced dog park, trails and a butterfly garden. Future phases of park development are to include a covered shelter, concession stands and baseball and football fields. The work has not been scheduled.
The city is also nearing completion of phase one of the Schoenbrunn Meadows cemetery, a nine-acre property on Delaware Drive SE. This will be the first cemetery built in New Philadelphia since the 1960s.
