Supreme Court (File photo) MANILA - The Supreme Court (SC) has issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) against the Commission on Elections (Comelec) from enforcing its order dismissing the registration of Ang Tinig ng Senior Citizens sa Filipinas Inc. (Ang Tinig ng Seniors). The TRO dated December 17 also ordered Comelec to comment within a non-extendible period of 10 days . Comelec dismissed the petition for registration of Ang Tinig ng Seniors on October 12. The party-list group's motion for reconsideration was likewise turned down on December 1. The SC previously issued a similar TRO in favor of two other rejected groups,Alliance for Resilience, Sustainability and Empowerment (ARISE) and Igorot Warriors International Inc. (IWI). Comelec rejected 126 groups bidding to register as party-lists for the 2022 elections on November 17.
