MADISON TWP. Former athletes, students and coaches lined up Monday to speak on behalf of longtime Madison athletic director Kris Isom, pleading with the board of education to give Isom a fair shot at a new administrative position the board plans to fill next month.
Isom, who has been the Madison athletic director for 34 years, has served on the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s representative council and was named the statewide AD of the year in 2016. She was informed recently that the position she currently holds and has for decades is being transitioned to a new, K-12 administrative position and that she could apply for it if she wanted.
