This Lehigh Valley warming station expanded its hours amid the snow, with COVID-19 measures in place

The Greater Valley YMCA announced expanded hours Wednesday night at its Allentown Warming Station, as the region remains under a National Weather Service Winter Storm Warning until 10 a.m. Thursday.
The station at the Allentown Y Branch, 425 S. 15th St., can accommodate 70 people, socially distanced due to the coronavirus, according to its nonprofit parent.
Intake will take place from 5 to 9 p.m., with operating hours extended until 10 a.m. Thursday. Ripple Community Inc. agreed to provide wrap-around services until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17. The Warming Station at the Allentown YMCA is scheduled to open at 6 p.m. on Thursday through 7 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17-18.
