virginia, shenandoah valley, into the mountains. closer to washington, much of montgomery county, arlington and fairfax are in the low 70s, and reagan national now is in the upper 70s. day planner, well, we ll have our temperatures by noontime in the upper 80s, and by mid-afternoon, the low to mid-90s. a hot and humid day, beach and pool weather. then, late afternoon, rumbles of thunder, some thunderstorms could be developing by then and perhaps into the evening. and we will probably get, if they do get going, some brief, heavy downpours with these types of storms with probably no damaging winds. looks like they may continue into tonight. your evening planner will be coming in ten minutes. here s a look at your first 4 traffic this thursday morning. good morning, danella. good morning, tom. first, the roads are off and running with no reported delays. traveling i-66, we ll fly over it together now, very, very light volume. not seeing any overnight road work. still in
steam heat. temperatures right now are near the low to mid-70s in washington and the nearby suburbs as well as around the bay, much of the eastern shore. however, piedmont regions of virginia and into western maryland and panhandle of west virginia, much of that region in the mid and upper 60s. some of the high spots out in west virginia only near 60 degrees this morning. and here s your day planner. we will have our temperatures by 7:00 this morning in the mid to upper 70s most areas, a mostly clear, steamy morning. then by noontime, into the 80s, a hot and humid middle of the day and a hot, humid afternoon, peaking in the low to mid-90s by 3:00 or so. back down to near 90 by 5:00, partly sunny and about a 30% chance of an isolated thunderstorm popping up, perhaps the late afternoon. could get some strong storms perhaps tomorrow and maybe some tonight, too. i ll show you the evening planner in ten minutes, a look at your first 4 traffic this thursday morning with danel
