CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have awarded the City of Corpus Christi Water Utilities with the Water Fluoridation Quality Award for the 3rd consecutive year.
âWater fluoridation is important in fighting tooth decay in our community and is one of public healthâs greatest accomplishments,â said Nueces County Director of Public Health, Annette Rodriguez.
According to the CDC, fluoride in water has been around for 75 years in the U.S. and has proven to be the best way to prevent common childhood diseases like tooth decay.
