A 16-year-old Albany Creek boy, the alleged driver and sole occupant, was arrested by police after stingers were deployed on the highway south of the Red Road intersection.
The teenagers have been charged with three counts of burglary, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle and evade police.
Both of the drivers were also charged with unlicensed driving while disqualified.
The neighbour then called out to the owner of the home and the owner came into the garage, Senior Sergeant Edwards said. At that time the (alleged) offender was trapped at either exit by a vehicle that was parked in the garage and the owner and the neighbour. The owner called police who arrived promptly and arrested the teenager. Sen-Sgt Edwards said the fabric bag on the driveway allegedly contained breaking tools including a screwdriver and jemmy bar. The teenager was charged with entering a dwelling with the intent to commit an indictable offence, possessing housebreaking implements and possessing a dangerous drug.
