She died in the house that she shared with the high school sweetheart that she loved.
Authorities said one person was killed in a residential fire early Friday morning in the Allegany County town of West Almond.
The cause of the fire at 3248 county Road 2A is believed to be accidental.
Frances L. Struble, 79, was identified by her son, Robert Struble, as the person killed in the fire.
According to her son, Struble grew up in West Almond and attended Angelica Central School. Robert Struble said his mother had lived at the county Road 2A location for 30 to 40 years, the better part of that time with the late John Herdman.
