Harding Retail, Director of International & Corporate Communications Mike Holmes is to retire after 33 years in the travel retail industry.
Holmes began his career working in Selfridges alongside highly respected DF&TR industry figure Caroline South.
He then joined Allders International on 8 April 1987 as the company’s first confectionery buyer, working alongside the likes of Nigel Keal, Martin Petchey, Peter Blatch, Glen Williams, Martin Scarfe, Davene Stirling and James Prescott.
Nigel Keal, President, European Travel Retail Confederation said: âI so fondly remember those days in the Eastleigh office where Mike was always the life and soul and the consummate professional.â
