Downtown Jazzed Up will run from July 10 to Sept. 11 at the corner of Cedar and Durham streets downtown.
As part of this year’s festival, Jazz Sudbury is launching a new youth program in response to the loss of the jazz program at Laurentian University during its insolvency crisis.

Buoyed by the reception to its Jazzed Up Downtown festival last summer, Jazz Sudbury is presenting a 10-week series of free concerts every Saturday morning from July 10 to Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to noon at the corner of Cedar and Durham streets.
This year’s Jazzed Up Downtown festival will feature local musicians including the 11-piece Afro Madness Drum Troupe, The Allan Walsh Quartet, jazz guitarists Jacob Starling and Zac Martel, vintage vocal trio The Sweet Julliettes, audience favourite The Hill Toppers Big Band, funk band Jellycap, and many others.
