Now in its 40th year, Homer’s Rotary Health Fair returns on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Homer High School commons and gymnasium. The theme for the fair this year is “It’s Your Life…Take a Day to be Well.” The event is sponsored by the Homer Kachemak Bay Rotary Club in cooperation with South Peninsula Hospital.
The results for the southern Kenai Peninsula 2023 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) are now available for public review. The report identifies mental and emotional health, housing, substance use and child care as some of the top issues affecting residents.
