The Memphis Grizzlies started the road trip with a trip to Chicago against the Bulls, who were without All-Star Zach LaVine. Meanwhile, Brandon Clarke joined Jaren Jackson Jr., Justise Winslow, and De’Anthony Melton on the injury report.
Could they start the 7-game business trip with a win?
First Quarter
There wasn’t a lot of defense in the first quarter, as both teams were really able to get whatever they wanted offensively.
Dillon Brooks helped get the team going with 8 quick points. The real standout though was Xavier Tillman. He had 9 first-quarter points and made a ton of great plays that flashed his potential. On one possession, he swatted a shot then finished a fast break lineup. Then, he drilled a 3 later, and he also got an easy lay-in off a steal.
