Diop, Reid and Sylla to Participate in MLS College Showcase

CLEMSON, S.C.  Clemson men's soccer players Hamady Diop, Isaiah Reid and Ousmane Sylla have been invited to the third-ever adidas MLS College Showcase. The event will take place from Dec. 9-12 in Raleigh, North Carolina in conjunction with the 2022 NCAA Men’s College Cup and in advance of the 2023 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas on Dec. 21. Sylla, a three-time All-ACC player, led the Tigers in goals and assists in the 2022 season, and was named the Dalton Family Team MVP on Wednesday, Dec. 7. Diop has been a staple of the Tigers' defense over the past two seasons, holding down the center back position wonderfully. In the process, he has contributed seven goals and three assists. Reid, a native of Rock Hill, S.C. and a captain of the 2022 squad was the hero of the 2021 National Championship, scoring both of Clemson's two goals in the match and earning the College Cup Offensive MVP nod. Diop and Sylla Earn All-South Region Nods

CLEMSON, S.C.  Clemson juniors Hamady Diop and Ousmane Sylla were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region second team, the organization announced on Tuesday. It is both players' second consecutive season earning a spot on the regional second team. FULL ALL-REGION TEAMS Sylla led the way offensively for the Tigers all season, pacing the team in goals (5), assists (7), game-winning goals (2) and points (17). He notched a brace in the first game of the season against Indiana, earning ACC Player of the Week honors for that performance. He finished the season third in the conference in assists and 10th in points, and was named to the All-ACC first team. Diop was a stalwart of the Clemson defense all season long, starting in 13 games and playing a key role in five clean sheets on the year. On the offensive end, he added two goals including the Tigers' lone score against UCLA in the NCAA Tournament. He is now a two-time All-ACC second team and All-South Region second t
