As power and water are being restored to more Houstonians, many grocery stores are opening back up. Here s where things stand on Friday morning. Some stores like H-E-B are implementing purchasing limits on items such as water, eggs, milk and bread.

As evidenced by the snow on the ground and chilly temperatures, this weekend brought truly unprecedented winter weather across the state of Texas. As such, most of the city’s restaurants have opted to close their doors in an effort to keep staff safe during treacherous driving conditions.
