One of the most played duels since the turn of the millennium has been Anadolu Efes Istanbul versus Olympiacos Piraeus. Olympiacos eliminated Efes in unforgettable five-games playoff series in 2013 and 2017 and holds a 21-20 edged in games against the Turkish powerhouse. Efes, however, has won its last four games against the Reds and hosts Olympiacos on Thursday. Playmakers Vasilije Micic of Efes and Kostas Sloukas of Olympiacos are determined to play a big role in this game.
Micic, 27, is a young veteran in his seventh EuroLeague campaign. Sloukas, 31, has been to six EuroLeague championship games and lifted the trophy in half of them – with Olympiacos in 2012 and 2013 and with Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in 2017.
